As P&G Chemicals’ Group Head of Global Product Stewardship based in the P&G Singapore Innovation Center, I am proud to be part of a team that has achieved a significant milestone in our sustainability journey: successful certification by TÜV Rheinland of our Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) calculation methodology under the Together for Sustainability (TfS) framework, based on ISO 14067. This certification offers our customers confidence in the accuracy and reliability of our PCF data, and empowers them (and their clients) to make informed, sustainable choices. It also underscores our commitment to being a catalyst for sustainable business development.
What This Means for You, Our Business, Our Customers and Our PlanetFor us, this certification is more than just a single milestone! It is a stepping stone toward a future full of new opportunities, including carbon reduction initiatives. It enables us to identify and implement effective pathways to lower emissions across our product portfolio. For customers, we believe the certification provides assurance that our carbon footprint calculations adhere to internationally recognized standards, such as ISO14040/44, ISO14067:2018 and ISO14064-3:2018, and utilizes frameworks like Pathfinder v2 (PACT) and Together for Sustainability v2.1 (TfS, 2024). With this, our customers can integrate our data into their own sustainability strategies and targets, confident that it is robust, credible and aligned with global best practices.
A Team Effort: Expertise, Collaboration and AgilityThe achievement of this certification in record time was no small feat — it reflects the expertise and dedication of our cross-functional team. Our Life Cycle Assessment and Research & Development experts (like Maria Gausman and Karuna Narasimhan) ensured scientific rigor, while our Commercial and Finance teams (including Josh Monroe, James Alexander and Mélanie Gallmann) brought strategic insights that aligned sustainability goals with business needs. Their ability to collaborate, adapt and continuously learn was key to our success, demonstrating our agility in meeting evolving sustainability standards.
I am honored to spotlight this success, as we at P&G Chemicals are passionately committed to advancing sustainability in the chemical industry. My team and all of our R&D experts work every day to bring our collective knowledge, expertise and scientific rigor in support of our customers’ journey to achieve their (and their clients’) climate goals.
Why? Because we know that solutions and positive impacts only come to life through partnership. Together, we are transforming challenges into opportunities for a more sustainable future.
